On Saturday the Reds face-off against the ACT Brumbies down in the Nations Capital.
The Brumbies are a solid mob that went all the way to the Grand Final last year, only to be pipped by the Chiefs in a tight match.
Their squad is a little daunting and terrifying with massive, cauliflower-eared brutes like Captain Ben Mowen all across the park and dynamic prodigy's like Jesse Mogg and Christian Lealiifano spread across the backline. They have attacking power all across the paddock.
But I think we can match them. We have our own beasts in Horwill, Quirk and Slipper. Hopefully they can bring the same savage physicallity they showed against the Chiefs in Toowoomba. And with Toua, Turner and Harris fluffing out our backline we're no slumps either.
The bookies, in their infinite wisdom, have pegged the Brumbies as short priced favourites. Which is fair enough, because the news is still a bit up in the air about whether or not Quade Cooper will play.
If Cooper, by some strange twist of fate, ends up playing, I reckon we'll have the firepower, sklill and overall confidence to roll the Brumbies. Without Cooper, it's still do-able, but we might struggle.
Who's going to win? Reds or Brumbies??
