After the disaster that has been Super Rugby season 2014 we take a quick look to the future. Who should the Reds enlist for next year's campaign?
1: James O'Connor
I've spoken about JOC before. He's a genuine utility that can cover any position in the backline and even take over playmaking responsibilities as fly-half. Sure he's got a bit of a penchant for fast-food, the grog and a sleep in, but who doesn't? O'Connor is just the bloke who could spark some life into the Reds.
2: Karmichael Hunt
The code hopping wunderkid has already played Union for Biarritz Olympique in '09-'10. Hunt is as tough as a coffin nail, quicker than Flash Gordon and now, after playing AFL for five years, he has a bigger boot on him than Doc Martin. Definitely worth a look if he isn't snaffled up by the NRL too quickly.
3. Ben Teo
Is off contract for the NRL's South Sydney Rabbitohs next year and appears to be interested in a Rugby switch. If Teo isn't lured away by the big money being flung around in the French Rugby at the moment, he would be worth a look. Teo is quick on his feet and when he hits a bloke he stays hit until next week.
4. Taniela Tupou
The Tongan Thor has been creating more buzz than a bloody hive after his hat-trick went viral last week. News of the 18 year-old Auckland schoolboy has spread like wild fire. Not only is he an imposing brute. He has also shown speed, skill and genuine ball playing ability.
Who do you think the Reds could enlist next year? Who could revive Queensland?
