The Reds last night confirmed Rugby’s worst kept secret: the signing’s of James O’Connor and Karmichael Hunt.
Along with those two the Reds have signed Kiwi/Japanese hulk Henrik Tui, Broncos 5/8 Duncan Paia’aua as well as two yet to be confirmed big signings.
Hunt and O’Connor though are the big prizes. Logic dictates that Hunt will be installed at fullback while O’Connor will either find himself on the wing or at inside centre. These two blokes will bring experience, flair, hard running and reliability to our crippled back line.
Hopefully Quade Cooper and Will Genia will rediscover their form next year and form a great playing bond with Hunt and O’Connor.
Hunt and O’Connor’s signing means good things for the Wallabies too, who could easily use their skill and expertise.
Soon the nightmare of this season will be forgotten. We have a lot of good things to look forward to next year.
Do these signings give you hope? Who could be the other two, yet to be confirmed signings?
